The following is a dark prediction about our modern way of life.
"Martial law is an extreme and rare measure used to control society during war or periods of civil unrest or chaos. According to the Supreme Court, the term martial law carries no precise meaning (Duncan v. Kahanamoku, 327 U.S. 304, 66 S. Ct. 606, 90 L. Ed. 688 [1946])." That core definition absence means in reality that Martial Law can be anything they decide it is.
"However, most declarations of martial law have some common features. Generally, the institution of martial law contemplates some use of military force. To a varying extent, depending on the martial law order, government military personnel have the authority to make and enforce civil and criminal laws. Certain civil liberties may be suspended, such as the right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures, freedom of association, and freedom of movement. And the writ of habeas corpus may be suspended (this writ allows persons who are unlawfully imprisoned to gain freedom through a court proceeding)." The above antiseptic description lacks the real balls of it though.
Another way of putting it is that Martial Law is the suspension of all civil rights enforced by merciless physical force. Regardless of the reason it is imposed, Martial Law is enslavement of the population for the benefit of a few. Official murder of opponents is condoned and the people frightened into doing the will of the instigators. Martial Law denies all freedoms except those decided by the instigators, such as the right to work for them for very little. It is a vicious nasty state of affairs and if the people rise up against it, many thousands will be killed or imprisoned until one side or the other prevails. Typically invading forces impose Martial Law on the civilian population to control them after they take over, like in Iraq for example.
But the imposition of Martial Law is expensive and requires a well equipped army of trained loyal men in order to impose it. It is uneconomical because it is a mostly loss-making venture. This in turn requires the instigators to steal from their victims to fund Martial Law, or at least that has been the experience. So we must consider it to be a last resort or an act of desperation.
I have a suspicion though that there exists a whole new kind of Martial Law now widely in use in our Western World called "Financial Martial Law." To understand it you need to also understand that Martial Law as an option is used purely in an effort to control the masses. If you get that then what better way to control them than through debt. A man indebted to you will bend to your will faster than pointing a gun at him. An indebted man has no other choice particularly if you can block his access to the little he already has. This is the true purpose of the cashless society. Your credit and money can be switched on and off leaving you penniless and without recourse to cash.
To achieve Financial Martial Law as a reality the brains behind it had to first ensure that as many of us as possible could be consigned to a state of debt. It is now my suspicion that this began with the bank lending going mad. A home is the biggest investment most of us will ever make so creating a casino around house purchasing was a no-brainer to begin the process of Financial Martial Law. Loans of 120 per cent were made to people who never had a hope of paying back. The banks set the merry-go-round in motion and it quickly turned to into gazumping house prices until the underlying real value bore no relation to the price paid.
When the inevitable Bank crash came it was the unfortunate citizen that was lumped with the cost of it, amounting to €200 billion shared among us innocent Irish citizens. That is serious debt for a population of 4.5 million souls. The resultant bail-out was then the final touch ensuring as it did our right to true democracy was replaced with a Troika of financial slavers to decide our future. It was the moment the Irish Nation became financial slaves. Salaries were pushed down, prices snuck up, job security disappeared, businesses went bust and public services all but collapsed. The health service crisis, the strikes in our public utilities, the homeless problem, public disorder and many more of our modern ailments are the result. Each of us suffers insecurity and there is a widespread unease that it's not going to get better. The slaves are trying to get used to their new status but even that is changing.
But I warn you that Financial Martial Law is in its infancy and trying desperately to bed in. The worst of it has not begun yet. I wrote already that seven individuals have the combined wealth of half the population of our planet and these individuals are at the top of the slave train we have all now boarded involuntarily. Underneath them are the world's central banks and under those sit the multi-national corporates indebted to those banks. Then comes the political unions like the USA & EU and below them lie individual Governments. Governments then have their elites in every society and then way down that list comes the vulgar masses who do the actual work that pays for it all. These are the controlled mass of the new slaves.
Due to debt, we in Ireland have long ago lost our sovereign status, the right to choose for ourselves. Democracy passed away unseen and contracts for debt for you and I were signed on our behalf by our own treacherous politicians in return for promises for themselves. That is the real state of play now. You will hear increasing calls for a cashless society in the coming months and years as this further essential plank of enslavement is put centrally on the table. In tandem will come information about the huge advantages of an electronic information chip implant for everyone. The chip will include all of the information about you but critically, it will yield your financial status to electronic readers everywhere. Your salary is paid into the chip and your assets registered on it too. The chip becomes your only line of credit and method of payment for everything and in turn, the device is run on bank databases. Get out of line even once and your chip malfunctions and you slowly starve. That will put manners on the slaves when they see it.
Financial debt can already take the roof from over your head, remove your car and even put your kids in care. The cashless society will ensure it can legally starve you to death as well. In such an environment, capitulation by the masses is inevitable. That folks, is what the banking crisis was about. It is what the IMF, the Fed and the ECB are there for. Fiat currencies are in crisis because they are not backed by any value but over the last twenty-five years, 96 per cent of currencies became digital electronic transactions, meaning a keyboard action to bring money into existence or remove any person completely. You can be switched off and cease to exist except you're still alive. Your bank account, passport, driver's license, deeds of your home, marriage certificate and very identity can be denied and cancelled. The chip will also broadcast exactly where you are at any moment in time. You can do absolutely nothing about it either but surrender to survive and accept any conditions imposed on you to bring you back on-line and into existence again. In equal measure though, if you're a good boy, wealth and credit can be created for you out of nothing more than some other key strokes on the same database.
It is a nightmare but it is well in progress now and it may even lead to 'One World Government' and absolute centralization and there's fuck-all we seem to be able to do about it. Individuals like Maurice McCabe, (from my last article), would simply be switched off and cease to exist in any meaningful way and there are those closer to home that such a methodology would really suit. The banks would rule ruthlessly and the army and Gardai would enforce where necessary.
None of the above is science fiction or conspiracy theory. It is under way because it has to be. If it didn't, the dollar and euro will definitely collapse and all wealth and human activity will come to a halt for a while and chaos will rule. Then the truly wealthy would lose everything as the rest of us fight wars to survive. Personally I expect to be dead before the worst of it starts but start it will if we don't all wake up to what's being done to us. The challenge is truly huge because everything must change and change utterly if we are ever to be free to live again. The attack is insidious and ruthless, perpetrated by weird people who genuinely believe they have the right to absolute power over all of us. Some of our number will be, of necessity, inside the tent pissing out, but most of us will be in financial chains. We won't have hope nor faith because all we will have is obedience and compliance.
The alternative is financial death, the ultimate but easy to organize option for the unruly or independently minded.
